Careers at AM Networking

We're a four-person IT team at 86-90 Paul Street in Shoreditch, looking after businesses across London. We don't have open vacancies right now. But good engineers are worth hearing from at any time, and we read every CV that arrives.

The numbers you'd be accountable for

96%
Calls answered under 15 seconds
91%
Issues resolved at first contact
>95%
Client satisfaction
60+
Years combined enterprise IT experience

In a team this size, those numbers aren't someone else's dashboard. Every person here moves them — which is the appeal, or the warning, depending on the sort of engineer you are.

The team you'd join

Four people, 60+ years of enterprise IT between us. Small enough that everyone knows every client by name; senior enough that you'd be joining peers, not a training scheme.

That size is deliberate. Clients call us because the person who answers can actually fix the thing, and we've built the whole practice — 24/7 monitoring, remote-first support, a 15-minute response target — so four people can deliver what bigger firms need layers of management to attempt.

Abdul M

Technical Director

Runs the practice and takes the hardest escalations. Sets the technical standards everyone else works to — and holds himself to them first.

Akshay S

Senior Engineer

Handles the deeper engineering work behind our Microsoft 365 and Azure clients — migrations, hardening, the projects where a rollback plan matters.

Tanzil I

Support Engineer

Front line on the helpdesk, where 96% of calls get answered in under 15 seconds and most problems are fixed on the first call.

Rema B

Client Success Manager

Owns the relationship side — onboarding, reviews, and making sure honest feedback reaches the engineers. Client satisfaction sits above 95%.

How we work

The honest version, because you'd be living it. The work spans our four services — cyber security, cloud, helpdesk and network management — and nobody here does only one of them.

Remote-first triage

Most issues are picked up and fixed remotely — 91% get resolved at first contact. The day is spent solving problems, not sitting on the Northern line between them.

On-site when it matters

When something needs hands on hardware, we go — client offices across Shoreditch, East London, Canary Wharf and the rest of the city. Some weeks are desk weeks. Some involve a lot of walking.

A Microsoft-first stack

Microsoft 365, Azure, Sentinel, EDR and XDR are the core of the work — we're a Microsoft Solutions Partner for Modern Work — with partnerships across Apple, Google, AWS, Dell, Adobe, Duo, Pax8 and VMware. Mixed Mac-and-Windows estates are normal here.

Out-of-hours cover

Monitoring runs 24/7 and clients have an emergency line outside office hours, so cover for that is shared across the team. We'll explain exactly how it works when we speak — not bury it in the small print of an offer.

What we look for

Certifications are nice. These three things matter more, and they're what we'd test for in any conversation.

You explain things clearly

If the office manager who reported the problem doesn't understand the fix, the job's only half done. We hire people who talk to humans, not at them.

You own problems end-to-end

In a team of four there's no fence to lob a ticket over. You take a problem, see it through, and write down what you learned so the next person doesn't start from zero.

You fix things properly

A restart that makes the symptom go away isn't a fix. We'd rather spend an hour finding the cause than field the same call every Tuesday.

No openings right now. Write to us anyway.

We're four people and we like it that way — roles here open rarely, and when one does, the first CVs we read are the ones already on file. So if the way we work sounds like the way you work, send yours now rather than waiting for an advert that may be a long time coming.

Email hello@amnetworking.co.uk with "Careers" in the subject line. Tell us what you're good at, what you'd rather never do again, and one problem you fixed properly that someone else had already given up on. A short, honest email beats a long generic one every time.
