Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data AM Networking collects when you use this website or get in touch, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it. The short version: we collect what you give us, we use it to answer you, and we don't sell it to anyone.

Who we are
AM Networking is a managed IT services provider based at 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, in Shoreditch. For the personal data described in this policy — enquiries, client contact records, anything you send us directly — we are the data controller. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@amnetworking.co.uk or on +44 20 7099 7753.
One distinction worth making early: when we manage a client's IT systems, the data inside those systems belongs to the client, and we usually act as a processor rather than a controller. That side of our work has its own page — data protection at AM Networking. This policy covers the data we hold about you.
What we collect
If you use the contact form on this site, we receive what you type into it: your name, email address, phone number, company and message. Nothing is collected from the form before you choose to send it.
If you call or email us — +44 20 7099 7753 for sales, +44 20 8055 1417 for the support desk — we keep records of those conversations. That's partly good practice and partly good service: it means the next engineer you speak to isn't starting from scratch.
And that's broadly it. This site currently sets no third-party advertising or analytics trackers, so reading these pages doesn't feed a browsing profile of you to anyone. Our cookie policy covers what little the site does store in your browser.
Why we're allowed to use it
UK GDPR requires a lawful basis for every use of personal data. Ours are straightforward:
- Legitimate interests — when you send an enquiry, we use your details to reply to it. You'd expect an answer; replying is the point of the form.
- Contract — when you're a client, we process your details because the support agreement requires it: logging tickets, setting up accounts, invoicing, answering the phone when you call.
- Consent — where we ask your permission for something separately, such as marketing emails, the basis is consent. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as emailing hello@amnetworking.co.uk.
What we don't do
We don't sell personal data. Not to brokers, not to "partners", not to anyone.
We don't run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this website, so there's no ad network watching which of our pages you read.
We don't send marketing you haven't agreed to receive.
How long we keep it
As long as the enquiry or the client relationship needs, and no longer. If you ask about our £99 plan and go elsewhere, we don't need your details indefinitely. If you become a client, we keep your records for the life of the relationship, plus whatever the law requires afterwards — accounting records being the obvious example.
We don't publish a fixed retention schedule here because an honest answer varies by record type. What we do instead is review what we hold regularly and delete what no longer has a purpose.
Who we share it with
Like any business, we use suppliers to run our own systems — the platforms our email, ticketing and phones sit on. Personal data passes through those suppliers only as far as delivering the service requires, and under agreements that hold them to protecting it.
Beyond that, we don't pass your data to anyone unless the law obliges us to.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have real, enforceable rights over your personal data:
Access
Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification
Have anything inaccurate corrected, or anything incomplete completed.
Erasure
Ask us to delete your data where we no longer have a reason to keep it.
Restriction
Ask us to stop using your data while a question about it is resolved.
Portability
Receive the data you gave us in a usable format, or have it sent elsewhere.
Objection
Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including any marketing.
To exercise any of them, email hello@amnetworking.co.uk. You don't need a form and you don't need to quote the regulation — just tell us what you want, and we'll respond within the timescales UK GDPR sets.
Complaints
If you think we've handled your data badly, tell us first — same address, hello@amnetworking.co.uk — and we'll put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk. That right doesn't depend on contacting us first, but we'd rather fix a problem than have you need to escalate one.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page and the date at the top moves. Where a change meaningfully affects how we handle client data, we tell clients directly rather than relying on anyone re-reading a webpage.
All our policies live on the legal information page, and how we protect data inside the client systems we manage is covered under data protection.
