Free IT assessment for your business

We take a proper look at your devices, Microsoft 365, network, backup and security, then tell you plainly what's fine, what's risky and what fixing it would cost. It's free, there's no obligation, and the findings are yours to keep whatever you decide.

Run by engineers at our Shoreditch office — Mon–Fri 9am–5pm UK time

What we look at

Five areas, because that's where small-business IT goes wrong. An engineer checks the things that cause outages, data loss and surprise bills.

Devices and patching

Every laptop and desktop: is it encrypted, is it up to date, and is anything still running an operating system that stopped getting security patches? Unpatched machines are where most small-business incidents start, so this is where we start too.

Microsoft 365 tenancy and licensing

We're Microsoft-first, so this is home ground. We look at how your tenancy is set up, whether multi-factor authentication is enforced, and which licences you're paying for that nobody uses — usually people who left months ago. Deeper tenancy work sits under our cloud solutions service.

Network and Wi-Fi

How the office is wired, how the Wi-Fi holds up when everyone's in, and whether the router is still on the password it shipped with. This is the same ground our free network baseline review covers in more depth.

Backup

What's backed up, where it goes, and — the question that catches most businesses out — whether anyone has ever tested a restore. A backup you've never restored from is a hope, not a plan.

Security posture

Who can access what, how you'd spot a break-in, and how your setup measures against Cyber Essentials and NCSC guidance. If security is the reason you're here, our free security assessment goes into this properly, and ongoing protection is what our cyber security service is for.

What you get

Three things, and nothing padded. The whole point is that you finish the assessment knowing exactly where you stand.

A plain-English findings summary

What we found, written in words a non-technical owner can act on, without jargon or scare tactics. If something is fine, the summary says it's fine.

Prioritised recommendations

Everything ordered by risk: what to fix this week, what to plan for this quarter, and what can safely wait. You'll know where your money does the most good.

A fixed-price proposal — only if you want one

If you'd like us to do the fixing, we quote a fixed monthly price from £99 per month, based on what you actually run. No hourly meter, no per-ticket fees.

How it works

Three steps, and none of them commits you to anything.

1

Book a call

Call +44 20 7099 7753, email us, or drop in to Paul Street. 96% of calls are answered in under 15 seconds, so booking takes minutes. We'll ask a few questions about your setup and agree a time.

2

We assess

An engineer from our team — 60+ years of combined enterprise IT experience between four people — works through your devices, Microsoft 365 tenancy, network, backup and security. Most of it happens remotely; we come to your office when it helps.

3

You get the findings

We walk you through the summary and recommendations in plain English. The findings are yours to keep, whoever you choose to work with — fix things yourself, hand the list to another provider, or ask us to quote.

Who it's for

Most businesses that book an assessment are in one of three situations. We support companies across London from our office on Paul Street in Shoreditch.

You're switching providers

Slow responses, vague invoices, or a provider that's outgrown you. The assessment gives you an independent picture of what you're running before you move — and if you move to us, our helpdesk handles the switch and deals with your outgoing provider, keeping disruption to a minimum.

You have no IT support at all

The founder is the sysadmin, passwords live in a spreadsheet, and IT gets attention only when it breaks. The assessment shows you what that setup is quietly costing — and what a managed alternative looks like from £99 per month.

Your team is growing

What worked at five people creaks at fifteen. Joiners waiting days for accounts, leavers keeping access, licences nobody tracks. The assessment catches those loose ends before headcount turns them into real problems.

No obligation — and we mean it

Some businesses take the findings, fix the urgent items themselves and never call us again. That's a fine outcome. The assessment isn't a foot in the door — it's how we make sure any quote we give is based on what you run.

And we don't inflate findings to make a sale. An assessment that cries wolf is useless to you and embarrassing for us. If your backup works and your patching is current, the report will say so.

If you do want us to act on the findings, plans start at £99 per month, Professional at £299 is our most popular tier, and paying yearly saves 17%. Client satisfaction runs above 95% — which is easier to sustain when every engagement starts with an honest look at the estate.

Find out where you stand — it costs nothing

One call books it. A short while later you'll know exactly what state your IT is in and what, if anything, needs doing about it.
